Over the centuries, Mankind has been fascinated with landscape. Poets wrote poems and verses on landscape. Painters paint landscapes with their brushes and styles. Photographers photograph landscapes and do digital imaging to enhance the images. No doubt that landscape photography is one of the most popular specializations of photography.

Handphone cameras and DSLRs/Mirrorless cameras are good to use for photographing landscape. For Handphone cameras, the Landscape mode is useful to simply take a shot of the landscape from a distance. For the DSLRs/Mirrorless cameras users, there is a wide range of modes, as well as lenses that include the super wide angle through to telephoto lenses, to photograph the landscape with different angles of coverage.

From my survey among most of my students, travel photography is arguably one of the most liked topics in photography. In itself, travel photography is also a specialization in Professional Photography. From the above quotes, one can imagine how travel photography changes the lives of many people, especially their perception of what life is.

What exactly is travel photography? How do we define travel photography? Do we simply just buy a ticket, fly to some place out of the border of your country, take out your camera and snap whatever you see? Or for some, could it be merely snapshots of your loved ones with some famous mountains in the background? Can travel photography be defined?

Portraiture photography had come a long way dating back to the days when photography first started in the mid of the 19th century. Defined by some as the ability to capture the likeness of a person or a group of people, it is an inexpensive way to get the portrait done in the early days of photography as compared to commissioning an artist to paint. As time goes by, portraiture photography goes beyond just capturing the likeness; it also captures the person’s mood at that moment in time.
